Block II · The apps, at a professional level · Lesson 7
ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini: which plan is right for you
We compare the free and paid plans of the big three: which models each one includes, how much you can use it before hitting the limit and which features are only in the higher plans. You'll come away knowing whether paying is worth it and which plan to choose.

What you'll see in this lesson
- Four price tiers
ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini are arranged the same way: free, cheap entry, a standard tier of about €20 and high plans from about €100 a month.
- What you get for free
All three have a useful free plan, but with the lightest model, little context and limits you hit quickly.
- Entry and standard: what they cost in Spain
For about €20 a month you get the full plan of any of the three; Go and AI Plus are cheap, cut-down versions.
- The €20 plan: ChatGPT Plus versus Claude Pro
Both include their powerful model, a coding agent and scheduled tasks; they differ on images and access to the top model.
- Google AI Pro: the plan that includes the most beyond chat
For €21.99 a month Google adds 5 TB of storage, a one-million-token context and extras from other services to the chat.
- The high plans: from about €100 a month
All three have a tier of about €100 and another of about €220; ChatGPT adds a $500 one. Mostly you're buying hours of use.
- Limits: what you're really buying
No plan is completely unlimited: usage is measured in windows of hours and per week, and big models use it up faster.
- Which plan suits you, by profile
Start free, pay €20 when you often hit the limit and move up to a high plan only if you use it up several times a week.
- Summary: choose wisely
The best plan is the cheapest one that doesn't hold you back in your daily work.
