Block II · The apps, at a professional level · Lesson 10

Cowork and Claude in Chrome: hand off whole jobs

You'll see how to delegate a task from start to finish, with files, the browser and scheduled tasks, and review only the final result instead of supervising every step.

What you'll see in this lesson

  1. From chat to delegated work: Cowork is now part of Claude

Since September 2026, chat and Cowork are merging into one app: you describe a result and Claude decides whether to answer or work step by step.

  2. What it can access: folders, browser and apps

Claude works with what you give it: the folders you connect, the browser, your connectors and the Office apps.

  3. How to hand off a complete job

Write the request the way you'd give it to a good coworker: result, materials, format and how you'll know it's right.

  4. Review the result, not every step

You don't need to watch how it works, but you do need to review what it delivers methodically before using it.

  5. Scheduled tasks: work that repeats on its own

Type /schedule in a task or open Scheduled in the sidebar and Claude will run it every day, week or month.

  6. Claude in Chrome: the browser as a tool

The extension lets Claude read pages, click, type and fill in forms in your Chrome, with your existing sign-ins.

  7. Approval modes: how much freedom you give it

Use the mode selector to choose how much Claude acts without asking: approve manually, approve automatically or skip everything.

  8. Risks: hidden instructions and sensitive data

The biggest risk is Claude reading something with hidden commands while it has permission to act on your behalf.

  9. Summary

Delegate complete tasks, but with a good request, tight permissions and a methodical review.
