What you'll see in this lesson

  1. Gemini Notebook: NotebookLM's new name

Since July 2026, NotebookLM is called Gemini Notebook: the same research notebook with your sources, now also in Gemini.

  2. Your sources: PDFs, websites, YouTube, audio and more

A notebook brings together the documents on one topic and the AI answers based on them.

  3. Ask and check: answers with citations

The notebook's chat answers with numbered references that take you to the exact passage in each source.

  4. Audio overviews: your syllabus as a podcast

Turn your sources into an audio conversation, in Spain Spanish, to listen to in the car or on a walk.

  5. Video overviews: explanations with images

Generate a narrated video with slides and illustrations from your sources; it can take more than half an hour.

  6. Slides, mind maps and quizzes

The Studio panel turns your notebook into materials ready to study, present or share.

  7. Limits: how many sources on your plan

The free plan allows 50 sources per notebook; AI Pro raises it to 300 and AI Ultra, up to 600.

  8. Use cases: studying and documenting

It works best with one notebook per topic and a fixed routine: upload, ask, generate and test yourself.

  9. Summary: study with your own sources

Gemini Notebook turns your documents into a tutor that answers with citations and creates study materials.
