What you'll see in this lesson

  1. Custom instructions: the first thing to set up

Tell ChatGPT once who you are and how you want your answers, and it will apply that in all your conversations.

  2. Personality: choose the tone, not what it knows

In "Base style and tone" you choose how ChatGPT talks to you, and with characteristics you fine-tune details like lists or emojis.

  3. Memory: what ChatGPT remembers about you

ChatGPT can use saved memories and your past chats; you decide what it saves, review it and delete it.

  4. Projects: one space per client or topic

A project groups chats, files and its own instructions, so ChatGPT handles each matter with its own context.

  5. Plugins: GPTs are retired on December 11

Plugins combine skills, connected apps and templates, and replace custom GPTs, which stop working on 12/11/2026.

  6. Scheduled tasks: let ChatGPT work on its own schedule

Ask it to do something every day, every week or when something happens, and it will notify you with the result.

  7. ChatGPT Work: assign a job, not a question

Work is ChatGPT's agent for long tasks: it researches, analyzes and delivers documents, spreadsheets or presentations.

  8. ChatGPT Business: the version for companies

Business gives each person their own account with admin controls and without training the models on company data.

  9. Summary: your ChatGPT, your way

Set up the basics once and let projects, plugins and tasks do the rest.
